Biography
Rita Mebia Diongo was born the 23rd August 1975 in Victoria to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Bikinn Diongo. In 1980 she put on her first uniform and joined her siblings and friends at the Government English Primary School Bepanda Douala, where she obtained her First School Leaving Certificate.
The climax came in 1987, when she gained admission into Saker Baptist College Limbe, a school she had always dreamed of. From Saker Baptist College Limbe, she moved to Presbyterian High School Kumba where she obtained the GCE Ordinary and Advanced Level Certificates. She attended the University of Yaoundé (Ngoa Ekelle) and later traveled to Europe where she stayed till 2000 before crossing over to the USA.
While in the USA she was diagnosed with cancer 2004 after the birth of her son. The news of her ailment did not kill her zeal and faith, she did what she knew best; fight! She fought this illness physically and spiritually.
In 2011, when the doctors in the USA had given up on her, and she had to come back home to her family, she continued fighting till that fateful day of June 3rd, 2012, when the cold hands of death snatched her away from this world.
She was a member of the Full Gospel Church Kotto, Bonamoussadi. She will be remembered by her friends as Endalle, by her family as Mama Rita and by her brethrens in the Lord as Daughter of Thunder.
She leaves behind a father, mother, son, two brothers, three sisters and a host of friends and relatives to mourn her.
May her soul rest in perfect peace!
MS Judith Diongo (on behalf of the entire family)
